Bei WM-Rennen sind bisher 33 Fahrer uns Leben gekommen, davon aber 26 in den 50er-70er Jahre, "nur" noch fünf seit den 80er Jahre.
Aber auch die Zahl der Verletzungen sinkt. Hier hab ich mal alle Fahrer aufgelistet, die sich an Rennwochenenden verletzt haben und danach mindestens ein Rennen auslassen mussten.
Ich werde bei Gelegenheit auch mal die Jahrzehnte davor noch anfügen – aber das ist mühsam. Oder hat da jemand eine Liste?

2003: Ralph Firman missed 2 races after his crash in Hungary
2001: Heinz-Harald Frentzen missed 1 race after his crash in Canada
2001: Luciano Burti missed 3 races after his crash in Belgium
